Abstract

Digital transformation is a solution to help supply chains improve performance to integrate more deeply into the world economy. Based on the data of 108 enterprises in the High Performance Manufacturing project, this study presents the current status of digital transformation in the supply chains of manufacturing enterprises in Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan. Important factors in digital transformation including human resource transformation, process transformation, and technology transformation are evaluated on 24 different aspects. Correlation analysis results show that many digital transformation methods have a positive impact on supply chain performance in terms of the ability to meet quality requirements, cost, on-time delivery and customer flexibility.
