Abstract

Using survey data from 257 households in Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province, through SEM linear structural model analysis, the study discovered three factors that have a positive impact on households’ electricity saving behavior, including attitude, perception of responsibility, and education and communication. Among these, perception of responsibility has the highest influence coefficient. The only factor that has a negative impact on the intention to save electricity is habit. Saving intention positively affects electricity-saving behavior. The research results are consistent with the reality of households in Uong Bi city today. State agencies and authorities therefore can promote propaganda and widespread dissemination of knowledge on economical and efficient use of electricity in different forms to raise awareness of the responsibility of people and households in the area.
