Abstract

The start-up ecosystem is one of great significance to Vietnam given that the number and scale of start-ups is lower than some countries in the region and the world. Through a survey of 365 agricultural start-ups and 433 agricultural businesses in 8 provinces of Vietnam (Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, Son La, Hoa Binh, Da Nang, Lam Dong, Dong Thap, Ca Mau), the study uses multiple linear regression and quantile regression model to evaluate the impact of the start-up ecosystem on the operation of agricultural start-ups in Vietnam. The results show that factors such as gender, age, size, education, region, technology ability, capital ability, linkage ability, and adaptability have a positive impact on the operation of the start-ups. Besides, the study also proposes some solutions to promote the development of agricultural start-ups.
