UEB: Advancing Applied Research and Internationalization
In the 2021 QS Asia University Rankings, VNU achieved 147th place among 675 universities, placing it in Asia's top 21.4%. UEB significantly contributed to this accomplishment, establishing a robust network of partners and introducing around 80% of its scholars in Business & Management Studies, resulting in a notable QS ranking of 451-500 in this field and 801-1,000 globally. Remarkably, VNU is the first and only institution in Vietnam to achieve a ranking in Business and Management Studies.
These achievements, alongside being named VNU’s top school for two consecutive years (2019-2020 and 2020-2021), underscore UEB's leading role in Vietnam’s education and knowledge transfer landscape. This recognition reinforces UEB’s commitment to an educational philosophy centered on internationalization, applied research, and the provision of globally relevant training services, aiming to educate students as global citizens who also value their national heritage.
JEB: A Platform for Academic Excellence and Policy Insights
Scientific journals are vital for sharing knowledge and shaping public discourse. To further establish UEB’s scholarly brand, the Journal of Economics and Business has been significantly transformed from its predecessor, the VNU Journal of Science: Economics and Business (2008-2021), and its earlier Economics - Law special edition (2002-2007).
Officially licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications on April 29, 2021, with Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu, Vice Rector, as Editor-in-Chief, the journal is now published bi-monthly. It provides a platform for publishing research, sharing expertise, and fostering knowledge in education, management, economics, and business.
A New Chapter for the Journal of Economics and Business
Since its inception in 2002, the JEB has evolved significantly, embracing both content and format innovations. Today, the journal aligns closely with international standards, featuring over 600 articles published in Vietnamese and English. Indexed on Google Scholar, V-CitationGate, and compliant with ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) standards, these publications highlight reputable research on Vietnam’s socio-economic landscape and global economic issues.
The journal is supported by an international Editorial Board comprising 32 distinguished scholars from universities, research institutes, and advisory bodies worldwide (e.g., the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Poland, Slovakia, and Singapore). With their scholarly expertise, the board contributes to the journal’s strategic development in line with international standards.
